BC’s Water Quality Guidelines represent safe levels of substances that protect different water uses, including: drinking water, recreation, aquatic life, wildlife and agriculture. Approved Water Quality Guidelines for aquatic life, wildlife and agriculture are summarized in this document. In BC, the definition of water quality include the sediments, therefore Water Quality Guidelines documents may include sediment quality values.
